Alexei Saba Mohajerjasbi aka his stage name Sabzi, is a Seattle based producer and DJ. His genre is listed as alternative hip hop. Personally I feel he is also under the sound of trip-hop/trap, this is due to it's association with hip hop through the use of rap lyrics.
However we are doing a review about his collaboration work with singer/songwriter Kelsey Bulkin under the name of "MADE IN HEIGHTS". I came across this duo from daring to listen to a suggestion Deezer recommended.
The review is on their second studio album "Without My Enemy What Would I Do" of which I am very impressed. I hope everyone reading this will give them a listen and enjoy the nice down-tempo, trippy, zesty and chilled vibes as much as I did.

The whole album puts me in a very mellow mood, an almost hypnotic angelic trance. My favourite song on the album is "Murakami". This song starts by being played in reverse, very innovative, I just love the pure rawness of the track. The bridge of the track is broken up by a sample of a Japanese conversation which I find is original and really works with that specific track.
I'm not normally a fan of trappy, repetitive, hissy high hits but the track "Panther" is a very atmospheric, spacial and future hip hop sounds with a little teasing of some strings. Great to listen to if you want to have a relaxing evening.
If you have any issue with sleeping then the track "Lunette" will be your perfect dream transition. To me it feels like lying on a lilo drifting round paradise islands, when you come across a beach where you climb into a hammock, switch off and listen to the flow of a waterfall next to you.
I am loving the samples on the track "Cry", the water droplet sound fx feels like my ears are being tickled by ice cubes. If this song was a cocktail it would definitely be a zesty refreshing Mojito.
Overall this album is very ear friendly, with great production all over and Kelsey's voice is a delicate haunting on the tracks, yet has a great fusion with the beat. I feel the whole album really does zone you out, for example if on a long night drive or a lunch break upon which you want to switch off from work and the world around you.
Artists I would compare "MADE IN HEIGHTS" to would be Disclosure, Gorgon City, Aluna George and the Weeknd.
