Hailing from the deepest darkest crevices of the South Wales valleys, Your Protected's new album Kings Of Summer is a front runner for post rock instrumental sound.
For those of you who haven't explored every genre under the sun, post rock uses typical rock instrumentation to produce classical soundscapes. How avant garde of them! Your Protected's take on this is, as they describe, audible chocolate. Who wants a piece? The new album boasts 6 tasty morsels to indulge in. One of the many indulgent moments comes from the fun loving song: Tadpoles. Which instantly livens your mood as you are transported to a summer of relaxing in the sun. The album's next destination, Explode, Be Furious mirrors building frustration that crescendos into waves of anger. Displaying a raw musical representation of pure human emotion set free, the track helps listeners to completely let go and be submerged in organic grooves. The album is brought to a close with the title track Kings Of Summer. This song truly makes you feel like a king. Personally it reminds me of the adventures you go in during summer with its upbeat and at times playful melodies. All in all this is an album that demands to be listened to! It will certainly appeal to fans of ASIWYFA and Vasa. Who will immediately be enthralled by this fantastic if early summer album. So what are you waiting for?
Embrace the very essence of summer with Your Protected's new album King Of Summer, available now on Bandcamp and Soundcloud.
