FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS MTN INTERVIEW

Hey all you music fans! We got a great interview with a fantastic Upcoming pop punk band from Lincoln, UK "For All The Wrong Reasons". Check it out below!
MTN: Hey FATWR! Thanks for accepting to have an interview with upcoming music tweeters and bloggers Musicate The Nation.
FATWR: Hey! Anytime, thank you for interviewing us.
MTN: What are your names/ages and roles within the band?
FATWR: Hi, I’m Chris, 22 and I play guitar.
- Hey, I’m Alex, I sing and I’m 23. - Hey, I’m Aiden, I’m 22 and play bass. - Hi!, I’m Jake, 21 and I play guitar (we like to mix up the lead and rhythm parts) - Hello, I’m Lou, I’m 21 and I play drums.
MTN: When did you start as a band and what made you want to start one in the first place?
FATWR: We formed in January 2013 out of a mutual love for the pop-punk genre, performing live and wanting to do something about the adolescent angst we were feeling haha. Chris and Jake both went to the same college and I guess it started there, the two of them started writing some songs and tracking some demo’s.
MTN: Who are each of your main influences in the fantastic world of music?
FATWR: Collectively, we really dig The Story So Far, Knuckle Puck, Transit and The Wonder Years but as individuals Alex really vibes off of Title fight, Such Gold and Tigers Jaw. Chris tends to stick with his old school Fall Out Boy and Simon and Garfunkel. Lou loves his N.W.A; Jake is into his Periphery and John Mayer and Aiden’s really into Seaway at the moment.
MTN: If you could choose to play at any place or any festival in the world, where would that be?
FATWR: I think we’d all be pretty stoked on any of the major UK festivals going on or like Vans Warped Tour would be a dream come true. We’re all pretty content and happy playing floorshows as well. Any show really is awesome to us, as long as at the end of it we’ve managed to reach out to at least one person, then it’s worth the blood, sweat and tears. Rock city in Nottingham is a sick a venue as well! We’ve all been there multiple times to catch some of our favourite bands play there in either the main room, or the basement.
MTN: What are your favourite foods?
ATWR: (Chris to rest of FATWR) I’ve got this one. Foo young… it’s like omelette but just rad! Hahaha, but collectively I think we’d have to say Mexican food. On our recent UK Tour with our honey’s in Fierce Morgan, for the first 2 dates we dined on Mexican food and it was sweet. I can now pronounce words like Quesadilla and Halloumi thanks to our Tour Driver (Boots, Road Hawk Touring, total dude).
MTN: Name a talent other than what you do in the band that you all have (attach a picture or video if you like as well?!)
FATWR: Well, we can all dance really well and we tend to go hard when it comes to group activities, like it’s not your conventional dancing, but it’s damn impressive to watch none the less. There’s some clips of our dancing skills being put to the test in our Tour Dairy:
MTN: If you could support any band, who would it be and why?
FATWR: I think it would probably be The Story So Far or The Wonder Years. They have been huge influences in not only making us want to be in bands, but for personal reasons as well.
MTN: Do you all have a favourite track that you have produced so far?
FATWR: Haha, we all have our own favourites. It’s good that we don’t all just agree on one track, it’s good to value and see things from different points of view and if we can do that about our own music, I feel like the people who listen to it will as well.
MTN: When can we expect a new EP out, is it similar to your other material?
FATWR: Hopefully sooner than later! It’s all written we just need to record it. We’re keeping close to our roots but, we’ve not been afraid to experiment. We’d like to think it will definitely be released in 2016, alongside a new music video and new merch.
MTN: Are you all looking to further your music career and become the next big thing or is it more of a hobby for you all?
FATWR: For us it's not about becoming the next big thing. We want to grow as musicians and if our audience grows with us that's awesome, but it's about connecting with other people the way we connect with our favourite bands, not about profiting financially or egotistically from the enthusiasm of others. It would be awesome to be financially stable from our passion as well hahaha!
MTN: Cheers for the interview guys! You’re all awesome! Keep on rocking and pop punking away!
FATWR: Thank you! It’s been a blast, stay rad.
